Mevagissey: Aspects Holidays and Havos, the story continues……………….

Office (11)

If you read our last blog you’ll remember we were heading south to the harbour village of Mevagissey, to start on a big project to transform a local shop into Aspects latest office and renovate and refurbish the apartment above into a high end holiday let.

Work started in Mid January and 6 months on, we are delighted with the results. To say we had local interest about what we were doing there would be an understatement. Everyone wanted to know what was happening to this very visable building. Mevagissey has a fantastic community and we loved chatting to anyone, who wanted to know, how things were progressing throughout the build. We literally took the property back to the bare bones, replacing timbers, installing steels and then making sure it was well insulated before putting it all back together to produce a great office space for Aspects and a gorgeous (even if we do say so ourselves) sleep 2, luxury pad upstairs, called Corner House Loft.

By the end of June, with a DIY SOS type final push, work was completed on schedule and the Aspects team were up and running, launching both office and apartment with a grand opening on the 30th June.  Local residents, businesses and even a few tourists enjoyed a tour with some bubbly and nibbles laid on by the Aspects team while we finally got to revel in our own glory!

This was a tough build but we loved every moment and are chuffed to bits with the final look and feel. We are now into the summer season and covering some less challenging maintenance calls in the County but we have some new projects coming up soon, so watch this space for the next build story….

Aspects Holidays, Bude office

After seeing the success of their Newquay office, Aspects Holidays contacted Havos to help them transform their latest office acquisition in Bude into a modern office for their Property Team in the popular North Cornwall, seaside town.

Work started on the early 20th Century building in late September 2016 with a full rip out, uncovering some amazing original features which we carefully restored. The building has a lot of history in the town as it was once the local shop and post office so we are keen to restore as much of the original building and as work progressed, we had quite a few personal stories and memories from locals as they passed by and popped in to ask what was happening in the building.

By the 1st week in December the work was completed on schedule and the Aspects team were up and running, launching it with a grand opening on the 9th December.

We were delighted to be a part of this latest project and thoroughly enjoyed bringing the building back to life. Due to its success we are now working on Aspects next project, a full renovation of a first floor flat and ground floor office in the Harbour Village of Mevagissey..

Watch this space to see how that turns out….
